Today, I switched on the camera and a horrible buzzing noise was coming from the audio. It appears that there may be a intermittent issue with the audio getting some interference. I spent some time early in the morning checking all the connection cables. It appears to have settled down now, so hopefully I will be able to continue seeing inside the box.
After leaving the box, the female unusually did not cover over the eggs and I managed to finally see that she has 8!
The weather today was a dry start but then heavy rain and strong winds came in. The female Coal Tit spent a number of hours in the box and I thought she had started to incubate the eggs. However in the afternoon, the weather slowly improved and she left the box for the rest of the day.
She returned to roost at 18:20.
I am in the process of setting up a YouTube channel, to share some of the video from inside the bird box. As soon as it is live and ready, I will let you know.
Will we have another egg laid on Tuesday?
More in my next diary update.
