Feeding by both the male and female Great Tit has continued and the food being brought in looks more suitable for the chicks, well apart from one delivery I saw by the male.
The male brought in food that appeared to be way to big for a chick to eat. After several attempts he managed to get one of the chicks to take the food, but whilst watching I could see the chick was struggling and not going to be able to swallow what it was being given.
The female arrived shortly afterwards with a much smaller green caterpillar. After several attempts by the male to help the chick swallow the food, the female decided it was not suitable. The male took the food from the chick and then the female took it away from the male and decided it was better she had it.
I am pleased to say the chick recovered and I hope the male stops bringing in too bigger food!

I have also started to noticed a pattern inside the bird box.
The female will feed the chicks from the left hand side of the nest, whilst the male uses the right hand side of the nest

Will the chicks survive and will food supplies get any better?
