I turned on the cameras early today, in case the young Great Tits decided to take the plunge and leave the box. Well today was not going to be fledge day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the day, there were a number of occasions where the young Great Tits would be stretching or testing their wings. Based on this it can only be a number of days before they leave. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the young even got brave enough to explore the box for a while.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both the Male & Female Great Tit have continued to visit with food but I can see a pattern where they are trying their hardest to tempt them to leave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Female has continued to make sure the nest cup is kept clean. Hopefully she can have a rest from doing this soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon checking the box tonight, the young Great Tits were on their own for the first time. The Female has left them and roosting somewhere else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Will tomorrow be the day they fledged?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
