Today she brought in some material that look like human hair or possibly some fluff.  I have no idea where she is finding this material, but the chicks should be nice and warm if\\when they hatch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With fine material still coming in, I wondered if egg laying was approaching or if there is more nest building to happen first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After adding some more material, the female left the bird box and left the nest cup uncovered.  To my surprise (and a nice one), I could see she had laid her first egg.  There was no egg yesterday, so it must have been laid early this morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hopefully she will now lay one egg each morning.
