The female Great Tit had brought in some soft material into the nest cup, so I was expecting egg laying was not too far away.
Yesterday (2nd April) I tried to check if any eggs had been laid, but the female has kept the nest cup covered and as the camera in this box, does not support infer-red\night vision, I could not check without disturbing her.
This morning (3rd April) I was able to take a look, and I think the shape circled in red is an egg. It certainly looks the correct size and shape to be one. I also think there may be one more but I cannot be 100% sure.
Hopefully the female Great Tit will let me see how many eggs she has and I can update my website.
I have also given my alarm clock a deserved break, as it has been replaced at the moment. Every morning the male Great Tit has been calling to the female and it is loud enough to wake me up 🙂
