17th - 23rd December 2007

17th December

No activity during the day recorded. Our rooster returned and roosted in box 1.

18th December

No activity during the day recorded. Our rooster returned and roosted in box 2.

19th December

A fight broke out in Box 1, over ownership. Sadly no photos or video were taken. For the first time this year we had a rooster in box 1 and box 2.

20th December

With two roosters yesterday things are certainly different this year. Is there two pairs of Blue Tits?. Around 22 visits were recorded during the day but only one rooster returned and used box 1.

21st December

Today saw lots of visits to Box 1. A Blue Tit (Possibly Bluey, the male for this years nest) visited over 20 times and cleaned out the box. Both boxes were checked around 16:15 and we found a rooster in box 1 and box 2.

22nd December

Over 30 visits were recorded to our boxes. Again we had two roosters.

23rd December

Over 20 visits were recorded to our boxes. Tonight we had the one rooster and it used Box 1.
