April 2007 Diary

8th April

Part 1 of 2

We are now becoming very concerned that this may sadly be the end for the 2007 season. As readers of our diary pages will know our resident rooster did not arrive last night. We left the cameras on today and as at 18:12 no visits inside either box have been recorded. Has the female been killed, or left? We will have to wait and see if she come back to roost tonight. We have recorded before, during the day, without any visits so who knows. The male has been heared calling during the day but he also has not gone in or near the boxes. We will be back later tonight with an update and hopefully not a sad end to this year.

Part 2 of 2

It's now 20:00 and we are sad to report that again we have no rooster. We now are beginning to think that this may well be the last diary entry for 2007. Did the Bee sting her or make her Abandon the nest? Activity was ongoing yesterday until 19:00, when sadly we could not continue monitoring. Did something happen? For now we are going to leave the website diarys and hope that this is just a odd few days. Any news will be reported on our main home page.
