5th March

Part 1

After yesterday's rain we saw a bright and sunny start to the day, with some warm sunshine. Sadly the wind was still quite strong making it feel a little colder.

Both boxes received visits at 07:20am from the male. Again he did not enter but he was trying hard to attract his mate. Whilst we were watching he did not manage to.

The male also made us laugh. We entered the garden quickly to enter the house, and whilst we did that the male decided to cling onto the brick wall and hide behind the side of the box. A few seconds later he was back up at the enterance hole.

No cameras have been left on today, but we will be checking the inside of each box tonight for early signs of nesting.

Also we are happy to announce the opening of the dedicated website for the bird boxes in our local park. Survey's will begin from 17th March. We will still be updating our main website, so please don't worry :)

No nesting material has been brought into either box yet. Our rooster returned at 17:20 and used box 1.
