September 2007 Diary
3rd - 9th September

All Days Roundup

We call this diary entry "All Days Roundup" because it's been very, very quiet. We did not want to put in a diary entry for each day, that is simply was a repeat of the previous day's.

Things are different this year, with no roosters so far this year :(
In 2006 we saw our first rooster in early September, but in 2005 we did not see a rooster until October, so there is still time this year :)

One visit was recorded on 5th September to box 2 but no entries were made inside the box. The weather has been warm so it appears it will need to turn a little colder at night before a rooster may use our box.

There is certainly no shortage of Blue Tit's around our area with at least six seen in a group.

We will still be checking the boxes each night and will be back with any news.
