March 2006 Diary 25th March Spring weather at last! With the much warmer weather, over 25 visits were made to the bird boxes. The female that first visited in February was the first bird to arrive, at 7:20am. During the morning the female kept visiting but sadly never entered the box. Our resident Blue Tit was also around. During the afternoon visits dropped to only one. We have added a video of one of the female's visits. In the video one of the Blue Tit's is calling. We belive it is the female, but the male was close by. Visit the "Videos" pages to view the clip. No nesting materials have been brought in yet, but Box 1 is still being cleaned out. With so many visits from the female today, has she choosen our box for her nest this year? We hope so and will keep you updated.
