March 2006 Diary

19th March

The weather was sunny, but the cold East or North-East wind made it feel very cold.

Visits to the box were slow. Only one visit was made to the box, when the Blue Tit returned to roost. It looks like the weather needs to really warm up. Maybe then it will get busy.

The bird table has been more busy than the boxes. On Sunday we added more bread and bits onto the top of the table. By the end of the day all the new food was gone!

The reason why was a Dove. It had eatten the lot!

Sadly by the time I got my camera out, it had gone.
