March 2006 Diary

10th March

Whilst visiting some of the many bird websites out there we have found two that are reporting signs of nest building in progress. We have been keeping a close eye on both our bird boxes for signs of nesting. Sadly there are no signs yet. Still it is early, and the weather has only started to get warmer this week.

Our rooster still keeps coming back each night and one of the boxes looks like it is being cleaned up.

We have finished and installed our new bird table. We have three feeders with peanuts, fat balls & seed/grain. We also have a coconut fat feeder, and provided bread, seed, apple & peanuts on the top of the table. Now we are waiting for our first visitor. We have added a new page in the "Photos" section, where we will post any photos of visitors.

Whilst it has been quite, we have been going through the videos our cameras have recorded. After removing all the blanks etc, we have around 4GB of video for just October 2005 - February 2005! Whilst watching them, we found an unusal visitor to one of the boxes. Click here to view the video.
