September 2006 Diary - 1st - 3rd September 2006

1st September

On 28th August we put up the two new Blue Tit boxes and on 30th August we finally managed to drill the enterance holes in our two new Blue Tit boxes. Before the enterance holes were drilled, we had visits from two Blue Tit's during the early hours of the morning.

On 1st September no visits were made during the early hours. Box 1 received a single visit during the day. At around 18:30 the cameras were turned on in both boxes. We were shocked to find a rooster in box 2, fast asleep.

2nd September

Again the rooster came back to box 2, at around 18:15. No other visits were recorded.

3rd September

No visits were recorded during the day, but our rooster returned at around 19:30. This time it roosted inside box 1.
