By the morning we had seen around 7/8" of snowfall. It mad it impossible for me to get to work so I worked from home. I decided to turn all the cameras on to see if any visits were made.
Around 09:30 two visits were made by the pair and they did the normal swap over. During another visit I thought I saw four Blue Tit's around boxes 1 & 2, but I can not be totally sure. The weather turned colder during the afternoon and all visits stopped.
The number of Blackbirds in our garden seems to have increased, mainly because of the cold weather and a number were feeding from our bird table. We provided some extra apples and they went down well :)
With so much snow on the ground the birds must be struggling to find enough food to survive. We checked the boxes at 18:20 and found no roosters.
Will the snow go and visits increase again?
