Diary written on 4th June 2008, due to holiday Returning from our holiday I went through all the video recorded whilst we were away. Six chicks were still alive during the morning. The chicks seemed to be ok and had grown well. The male had certainly done well on his own. We can now confirm the female must have been killed, as no visits were recorded of her during the week. One chick fledged the nest at around 14:00. Sadly I do not know if the chick survied. Another chick left the nest late in the evening at 20:10. At the time the weather was very wet and later that night we found the chick sadly dead on our pathway. The four other chicks remained in the nest for the night. Will they make it out of the box?
